Plated of Veadeiros (GO) – Mysticism

Small white clouds tear the immense blue sky and hide behind the hill in front of the whale Camping Pacha Mama, on the road connecting the towns of Alto Paraíso de Goiás and São Jorge. It was so, every morning, contemplate our breakfast offered by the owner of the nice couple Camping. O sol forte, since the morning, not only made us sweat because the breeze is constant on the plateau.

Strange to think that this target was not included in our initial script. It would be a sin not to know this jewel in the heart of the country.

The road leading out of Brasilia and leads to the Chapada dos Veadeiros oscillates between some parts pitted and a great deal of good asphalt that cuts through the beautiful landscape and dry undergrowth of the Brazilian Cerrado. Plateaus and canyons are mixed throughout the open field backdrop with a few small trees, prevailing in the region.

We arrived around 12:15 one of the most mystical and serene places that should exist in the country: Camping or Pacha Mama. All grammed, He sits facing the hill of the whale and is run by a young couple and very tranquil, every morning, after serving coffee, offers a brief yoga session for campers.

Even on the first day we visited the plateau 3 tourist destinations in the region. The first : the waterfalls of Almécegas I and II, near the camping. After a short track with Tanajura, we walk to the first waterfall, Almécegas II, track with a lighter and better for swimming. A further, I went to Almécegas with a rise a little more intense and a great view from the top of a hill to the waterfall front. Saindo dali, we went to our second destination: Vale da Lua, or mysterious. A rapid water flowing over and inside rocks sculpted by water forming small caves in a look that resembles the lunar surface.

The valley is facing a huge slap in the evening that he received the last rays of sun on your wall forming a beautiful effect on the plateau with a strong shade of red.

Leaving the Valley of the Moon we have the evening to the last destination of the day as had been recommended in: the garden of Eden. The road to the site was long and very bumpy. It, when we got there we had a negative surprise: the dark and uninviting with a trail that, the end, led to 3 small pools of warm water in which we find 3 couples in intimate moments. Returning of Eden, demos carona (tight!!) to a trucker who had broken the clutch even when we pass him on the way. It was great having known this young man who gave us an excellent way to tip Bom Jesus da Lapa - BA, Our next destination.

The second and final day on the plateau was closed with a flourish! We visited two waterfalls within a booking of heritage, being one of the most beautiful we've seen today: the waterfall of Santa Barbara. The waterfalls are within the territory known as Maroon Kalungas - named in reference to a local plant. And are themselves Kalungas guiding tour of the region.

Our guide was a young man with 30 and a few years, black skin and dark. Tall and short, led us to stride and firm for more than 20 minutes by beautiful wilderness with low vegetation and yellowish at the foot of a towering plateau. At the end of the walk we went through a closed forest vegetation and wet, when faced with a majestic waterfall of Santa Barbara.

Com remaining sua 25 meters and a natural pool of about 12 meters in diameter, had a clear water and blue never seen before, by nós, a waterfall.

And we went to our final destination in the Chapada. The waterfall of the Capybara, also in reserve quilombola, had on its top a beautiful, sweeping views of the plateau.

We returned to camp at dusk when the full moon was rising over the hill to the whale in a starry sky and the desert. It was our farewell to the Chapada!
