Who never thought of packing up and go in search of the unknown? We all know that the world has much more to offer than we can imagine, but we don't find the courage to leave the comfort and safety of everyday life and face the challenge.
Why not?
A question that in its simplicity transforms the most complex problems in meaningless excuses. The difficulty of finding a convincing answer to the question, after long talks in our Incasapas Republic, was a sign that we were ready, the time was that. We were mature enough to decide to take a break of our careers and go in search of something new, that could broaden our world view and inspire our way hereafter.
With that thought, it was planted the seed of Expedition 4×1. It was an idea that has emerged as musings from college and became an imminent and exciting reality.
We have always been a tight-knit group and performed the majority of our activities together, what made that most of the discussions we had generated a shared desire to develop a joint project.
Traveling was a pleasure for all of us and we always did it when possible. Each trip, the desire to discover and explore what's different and inspiring in our continent became more latent.
We decided to leave the default, temporarily quit our jobs and go in search of people, landscapes and flavors that would inspire us along more than 70 thousand kilometers across the Americas.
It was not an easy decision, to reconcile the wishes and views of all five of us, even with our thoughts aligned, it was a rather complicated task. But when we designed the Expedition 4×1 and we found something that really motivated us, taking the project and the dreams out of the paper was only a matter of time!
