Factsheet 4×1

Date: 07/06/2012 a 09/06/2012

From: Brasilia

Destination: Alto Paraíso of Goiás, GO (Plated of Veadeiros)

Distance: 220 km

Travel Time: Just under 3 hours

Path: We left for Brasilia GO 118 direto para Alto Paraíso de Goiás.

Where to sleep: Camping Pacha Mama – na estrada entre os municípios de Alto Paraíso de Goiás e São Jorge.

What eat different: Made typical dishes - very well served and cheap! Composed por: rice, matula (Beans with different types of meat mixed), cooked pumpkin or sweet potatoes, bife e salada.

Filled Tire : Camping view of providing spectacular visual: sunrise at breakfast, o céu muito estrelado a noite e o nascer da lua cheia.

Flat Tire : trip to the Garden of Eden - very bad road, local escuro e ambiente não muito agradável.

Plated of Veadeiros (GO) – Mysticism

Small white clouds tear the immense blue sky and hide behind the hill in front of the whale Camping Pacha Mama, on the road connecting the towns of Alto Paraíso de Goiás and São Jorge. It was so, every morning, contemplate our breakfast offered by the owner of the nice couple Camping. O sol forte, since the morning, not only made us sweat because the breeze is constant on the plateau.

Strange to think that this target was not included in our initial script. Seria um pecado não conhecer essa joia no coração do país.

The road leading out of Brasilia and leads to the Chapada dos Veadeiros oscillates between some parts pitted and a great deal of good asphalt that cuts through the beautiful landscape and dry undergrowth of the Brazilian Cerrado. Plateaus and canyons are mixed throughout the open field backdrop with a few small trees, predominantes na região.

We arrived around 12:15 one of the most mystical and serene places that should exist in the country: Camping or Pacha Mama. All grammed, He sits facing the hill of the whale and is run by a young couple and very tranquil, every morning, after serving coffee, oferece uma breve sessão de Yoga para os campistas.

Even on the first day we visited the plateau 3 tourist destinations in the region. The first : the waterfalls of Almécegas I and II, near the camping. After a short track with Tanajura, we walk to the first waterfall, Almécegas II, track with a lighter and better for swimming. A further, I went to Almécegas with a rise a little more intense and a great view from the top of a hill to the waterfall front. Saindo dali, we went to our second destination: Vale da Lua, or mysterious.

Leaving the Valley of the Moon we have the evening to the last destination of the day as had been recommended in: the garden of Eden. The road to the site was long and very bumpy. It, when we got there we had a negative surprise: the dark and uninviting with a trail that, the end, led to 3 small pools of warm water in which we find 3 couples in intimate moments. Returning of Eden, demos carona (tight!!) to a trucker who had broken the clutch even when we pass him on the way. It was great having known this young man who gave us an excellent way to tip Bom Jesus da Lapa - BA, nosso próximo destino.

The second and final day on the plateau was closed with a flourish! We visited two waterfalls within a booking of heritage, being one of the most beautiful we've seen today: the waterfall of Santa Barbara. The waterfalls are within the territory known as Maroon Kalungas - named in reference to a local plant. E são os próprios Kalungas que guiam a visita pela região.

Our guide was a young man with 30 and a few years, black skin and dark. Tall and short, led us to stride and firm for more than 20 minutes by beautiful wilderness with low vegetation and yellowish at the foot of a towering plateau. At the end of the walk we went through a closed forest vegetation and wet, quando nos deparamos com a majestosa cachoeira de Santa Bárbara.

Com remaining sua 25 meters and a natural pool of about 12 meters in diameter, had a clear water and blue never seen before, by nós, em uma cachoeira.

And we went to our final destination in the Chapada. The waterfall of the Capybara, also in reserve quilombola, possuía em seu topo uma bela e ampla vista da chapada.

We returned to camp at dusk when the full moon was rising over the hill to the whale in a starry sky and the desert. It was our farewell to the Chapada!
